First and foremost, Stream of Sound present all sorts of concerts: from tiny churches to great Town Halls, and from Folk Clubs to Festivals, you’ll find that we are at home in any venue.
Secondly, we run Singing Days for young people, residential sessions for teenagers and workshops for people of all ages: we’ll go for any way of getting people to sing in harmony with us.
Thirdly, we are constantly finding and exploring new music: from Shape note hymns to Gospel, from spine-tingling Bulgarian harmonies to ancient Georgian polyphony and from South African church music to English traditional song, we love all of it!
In the last couple of years we’ve run the youth harmony workshops at the Sidmouth Folk Week, worked with children at the Towersey Festival, performed alongside Black Voices and Ex Cathedra in Birmingham Town Hall, sung for a charity in Worcester Cathedral, been played on BBC radio and made our sixth CD, Time & Tide.
Our musical director is Caroline Price, who also creates many of our arrangements, but our established singers have become leaders too, well respected for their experience in the singing world: Matt Price, Nathalie Fischer, Fynn Titford-Mock and AC Pridden, to name but a few.
